Artist INTERVIEW: YME

1. Cru Cru YME , super nice to have the chance to chat with you! What first got you into music?

I was ask to do some studiowork, vocals and backing vocals. And then it turned out that the producer who works there wanted to give me a chance because he saw a singing talent in me.

2. Can you tell us a cringe memory of yours?

When I was 8 years old I wanted to write a song but when I hear the lyrics again now I find that super cringe. My mom still thinks it's great and super cute

3. What’s your favorite food?

Salades

4 Will you tell us something embarassing about you?

No not really. I am and feel perfectly normal

5. What’s the best decade for music?

The 80’s and 90’s

6. What’s your favorite 50’s artist?

I don't know artists from the 50s. And the ones I do know I don't like

7.What’s the best advice you ever gave?

Keep believing in yourself. Never give up. There is always a next morning

8. How is your musosoup experience going?

It sounds Asian. I do like Asian food. Musosoup gives me the opportunity to spread my music and feedback so I can work on my next songs to be better than the previous one

9. What’s your favorite 70’s album?

I'm afraid I'm really too young to really know the music from the 70's

10. Do You agree with the Pigeon?

Pigeons represent peace to me

"Someone Better" is without a doubt a very atmospheric alternative single where an enviable dark production with playful electronic textures reigns. But the jewel of this single with 80's vibes is really the relaxing and angelic performance of YME in the context of who found someone better!

The Pigeon added the new single to his Weekly Gems playlist on Spotify. You can check out the released music below. If you like what you hear, make sure to follow along so you can stay on top of future releases
